An open heart is a supported heart

This alone is one of the most powerful tools that we have. Supporting it continuously is a conscious, moment by moment, learn as you go {practice}. My meditation practice was never meant to be perfect and it’s one of the core values and beliefs that I hold. My practice and teaching always falls around reflection, empowerment, and showing up for myself so that in return I can show up to life ʟᴏᴜᴅ.

It is not always calm and relaxing, but that’s just not me. I didn’t come into the practice because I’m calm, but because I have a deep need to seek truth and have clear eyes that see the world I’m in deeply. The world beyond my world. I’ve found that once my inner world is cultivated and solid, that’s the one I’m ready to show up for. From what I see and witness in conversations, in classes, in walking around and deeply paying attention is that we have a deep need for this society-wide. World wide.

Not only can we support ourselves, but we can always find support in others. 𝕋𝕖𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕤 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕦𝕤 𝕚𝕟 𝕖𝕒𝕔𝕙 𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕨𝕖 𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕣.

I get anxious around things that quite honestly don’t make sense to me. I get anxious when people leave, when I see someone in pain, or when I feel helpless and defeated.


𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 comes when I see this acknowledged internally.

𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 comes from the quick pause and a deep exhale that allows me to release what feels momentarily too heavy.

𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 comes from the community and teachers that are there for me too.


𝑰𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂 𝒉𝒖𝒈𝒆 𝒆𝒈𝒐/𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒂𝒎 NOT 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈

We all have those moments where we can quite literally feel our hearts shutting down.
